Phoenix loves to snuggle with her favorite stuffed animal, and it has become her constant companion. Even at night, she refuses to part with it and sleeps soundly with her beloved toy by her side. Phoenix and her sister Arizona had a rough start in life after being abandoned on the streets as puppies. Fortunately, they were rescued and taken in by a shelter. Phoenix was initially meant to be a temporary foster dog, but her dad couldn’t bear to part with her and eventually adopted her. She’s been living the good life for seven years and is a pampered pooch, especially when it comes to toys. Her dad has gifted her with countless toys over the years, but Phoenix’s excitement is short-lived as she has a habit of destroying them within days.
According to Joe Weissbach, dad of Phoenix, his furry friend loves to take her toys and retreat to her own little spot in the house, be it a corner or the couch. However, Phoenix isn’t too rough with her toys, at most just playing around with them by tossing them and pouncing on them. But eventually, she settles down with her toy and carefully begins to pull it apart with her teeth. Her first target is always the plastic squeaker, followed by removing any cotton or filling from the toy.
Phoenix’s father continues to get her new toys even though they are often destroyed within a few days. He recently purchased a stuffed daon, fully expecting it to meet the same fate. However, this time, Phoenix’s reaction to the toy was different from usual. Initially, she grabbed the toy and concealed it as she usually did with new toys. Her dad didn’t think much of it until he noticed that, unusually, several days had passed, and the daon remained completely intact with no signs of falling apart anytime soon.
According to Joe Weissbach, Phoenix has shown an unusual attachment to her toy daon. Surprisingly, she has not been rough with it, instead nibbling at its protruding nostrils with care. The daon toy remains mostly intact after several months, as Phoenix spends most of her time cuddling and cradling it between her paws on her dog bed. It’s remarkable that Phoenix hasn’t destroyed the toy despite her love for it.
Joe Weissbach is so attached to his belongings that he even dozes off with them.
Phoenix’s father is unsure about the longevity of the daon toy, but currently, Phoenix is enamored with it. They are both relieved that she has finally found a toy that she adores enough to keep for a while.
