Before each and every NFL game, Travis Kelce savors a very particular meal that he looks forward to eating.
This fact about the Kansas City Chiefs player, who is now 34 years old, has been made abundantly evident both on his social media accounts and in a variety of interviews conducted over the course of his career.
During a conversation he had with Men’s Journal in the year 2020, Kelce first mentioned his fondness for the morning meal. “On the day of the game, you want to load up on carbohydrates so that I have the energy I need to play.” According to the tight end, who was speaking with the source, “French toast helps me get some carbs in while also getting my blood sugar going.”
One year later, the actor Rob Riggle, who was born and raised in Kansas, messaged Kelce on X (which had previously been known as Twitter) and inquired as to what the athlete considers to be his favorite pregame meal, to which the athlete responded, “French toast!!!”
The next year, in 2022, Kelce said the following in an interview with Inside Hook: “Ever since I joined the Chiefs, every pregame meal has consisted of French toast and strawberries.”

His Chiefs colleague Patrick Mahomes also has a liking for a cuisine that he frequently consumes, and while Kelce may be a huge fan of French toast, Mahomes also enjoys eating it.
During a question and answer session on Instagram one month ago, Patrick’s wife Brittany Mahomes disclosed the fact that her husband has an odd nighttime routine.
A fan asked her, “What’s a funny habit that Patrick has?” as one of the questions they had for her. The following is what Brittany, age 28, suggested as a response to the question: “Eat Doritos every night in bed.”
The football player, who is also 28 years old, has made no secret of the fact that he has a soft spot in his heart for the Frito-Lay product. He admitted in a recent TikTok video with GQ Sports that he is a “big snacker,” especially when it comes to eating late at night.
I always grab either a bag of purple Doritos, which I have just gotten on, or a bag of regular Doritos. Patrick stated, in reference to the flavor of the fiery sweet chili flavor, “I used to be a cool ranch guy, but now I’m on the purple bag.”
