Steph and Ayesha Curry celebrated their 12-year wedding anniversary with a memorable vacation, marked by sweet social media tributes. On Instagram, the NBA star, aged 35, shared a carousel post featuring sunlit vacation photos capturing the couple lounging on boat decks and posing against scenic beach backdrops. However, the highlight of the post was the heartfelt love note Steph penned for Ayesha in the caption.
In his message, Steph expressed profound love for his wife, stating, “My Woman. I love you more than you know. I’m thankful for every experience we have shared together. The highs, the lows, the ways life has brought us closer together through it all.” The Golden State Warriors star continued by expressing gratitude for the joy and happiness Ayesha has brought into his life since day one. Steph concluded the post by acknowledging the continuous blessings they receive from God.
“Let’s keep going,” the basketball player wrote in her next message. Extra! I cherish you! prior to putting their July 30, 2011, wedding date and an arrow pointing to the same day a decade later.
Ayesha celebrated by posting a series of images from her boat, including one of the couple’s extravagant breakfast spread, to her eight million Instagram followers. The author of the cookbook began her caption, “It’s our anniversary!”
I’ve been married to my lifelong love and best friend for 12 years. Fifteen years of dates and capturing moments. So much more to come,” wrote Ayesha.
“I adore this man beyond measure! Feeling incredibly fortunate,” she wrote, then proceeded to say, “Okay, back to celebrating.”

Steph and Ayesha first met when they were teens, but the pair didn’t actually date until 2008 after bumping into each other in L.A. while Stephen was in town for the ESPYS. It’s a miracle they made it to the first date — Ayesha told PEOPLE in 2020 that she had a strict “no athletes” rule for herself.
“My parents found this paper from my high school theater class where you had to write down what you wanted in a significant other,” she said. “At the bottom, it said, ‘No athletes because they’re arrogant.’”
Still, Ayesha told PEOPLE Steph’s demeanor impressed her. “He was so funny and silly. The absolute opposite of what I thought he was going to be,” she said, and the rest was history.
After getting married in July 2011, Steph and Ayesha welcomed Riley Elizabeth, their first child, nearly a year later. Her eleventh birthday was recently celebrated by the couple.
Two more children have since been born to the basketball player and TV personality: son Canon, 5, and daughter Ryan, 8.
Steph told E! News in 2022 that his kids don’t give a damn, despite the fact that he has been an NBA All-Star nine times. “You’re just Dad at home, and that’s the best part about it,” he said, explaining that he didn’t think it mattered too much how many times the ball went in the basket.
