Tortellini, a resident feline, and Lavender the kitten were brought together on a scorching summer day. A kind-hearted individual found Lavender all by herself in their yard without any mother or siblings around. She merely was a couple of weeks old and required a bottle feeder around the clock. The Front Street Animal Shelter was contacted, and they took Lavender in. Haley Waugh, an employee of the shelter, was attracted to Lavender’s charms and took up the task of caring for her. This involved a rigorous feeding schedule that demanded her attention.

Initially, Lavender the kitten was disoriented by the unfamiliar environment and scents around her. Naturally, she resorted to her instincts to safeguard herself – by hissing and spitting with all her might, despite her miniature size. Despite this, Lavender’s courage and determination shone through after having endured who knows how many days alone outside. The Foster Pets of Sacramento gave her the adorable name of Lavender, inspired by the color of her fur.

Haley, who goes by @fosterpetsofsac on social media, quickly won over the trust of her foster kitten, Lavender. The little feline soon realized that Haley was a kind and caring foster mom who would never let her go hungry again. Haley recounted to Love Meow how Lavender would perk up and make her way over to her whenever she heard her voice. As Lavender was still a young kitten, Haley even took her to work with her every day so she could keep up with her feeding schedule.

Despite her young age, Lavender’s unique personality was already shining through. According to Haley, Lavender was an inquisitive kitten who was always curious about her surroundings and paid close attention to her human caregiver.

This little adventurer fearlessly attempted to climb over anything in her path just to stay close to her beloved humans. Haley noted that Lavender approached new objects with a keen curiosity and an intense focus.

She fearlessly stepped out of her playpen and approached anyone she came across, including felines, canines, and humans alike. Lavender, one of the pets in the house, instantly warmed Spud the dog’s heart and snuggled up right next to him.

Spud the dog is taking care of Lavender, who has now grown up and learned how to groom herself. She uses her tail to balance and is not afraid to jump to higher places. Lavender loves gazing at Haley with her big eyes until she falls asleep while standing.
