Introducing Milton, the adorable redhead who has conquered various health obstacles with the continuous help of his loving owner. Right from the start, it was clear that Milton’s path would be one-of-a-kind.

Before he even turned one, Milton was introduced to Kiki, a kind-hearted woman who founded the non-profit organization Saving Stevie in Nashville. Despite his weak state, Milton felt hopeful that he had finally met someone who would always be there for him.

Milton had a tough time dealing with his health problems, particularly his hind legs which left him almost unable to move. The need for immediate medical attention and lots of affectionate care were essential in order to enhance his overall well-being.

Kiki sought advice from animal doctors and learned that Milton was facing obstacles in his bones and nerves.

Unfortunately, the dog had to go through amputation of his hind legs because they were causing him discomfort and hindering his movement. Luckily, there was still a chance for his front legs to regain strength and mobility, so physical therapy was suggested. The pup also underwent necessary medical procedures like neutering, microchipping, and treatment for his respiratory and bladder issues.

Although Milton faced physical challenges, his spirit was never dampened and he maintained a joyful demeanor. He had a strong interest in dinosaurs, stuffed animals, and games that stimulated the mind.

He was dedicated to improving his appearance, but every once in a while he needed assistance. And let’s not overlook his charming moments of sticking his tongue out!

Milton had a great passion for food and he enjoyed the occasional indulgence in human treats such as popcorn or donuts. Nevertheless, his greatest love was for his foster mother whom he would shower with kisses until her chin grew sore.

As time passed, their relationship deepened and Kiki’s decision to adopt Milton brought about a sudden change of heart.

Kiki firmly stated that she would not entertain any adoption requests as she had decided to keep Milton with her always. Her emotional bond with her cherished cat was too strong to let go of him.

Kiki’s appreciation for having Milton as a companion was boundless. Mundane routines transformed into enchanting experiences whenever they were together, whether it was performing simple acts of generosity or relishing the fragrance of a rose or the texture of an unusual leaf.

Looking back on their time together, Kiki expressed to We Love Cats and Kittens that when she’s feeling low, seeing how Milton lives life to the fullest is the only thing that can bring her joy.
