Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany Mahomes, is updating fans on the health of their 3-year-old daughter Sterling after revealing that she is suffering from a stomach virus.
“My baby’s sick day Wednesday,” Brittany, 28, captioned a photo of herself cuddling with a sleeping Sterling on her Instagram Story on Tuesday, May 7. “Some kind of stomach virus thick won’t cause any problems” out here.”
Luckily, Sterling was feeling more like himself a few hours after Brittany’s first post — even wanting to go swimming.
“Who said a dip in the swimming pool can’t be fixed,” Brittany shared along with a photo of hugging Sterling in the swimming pool. “You just randomly said you wanted to go swimming so we felt more comfortable.”
Brittany – who also shares 1-year-old son Bronze with the Kansas City Chiefs midfielder – often shares sweet family photos on social media. In February, the whole family was on hand to watch Patrick, also 28, lead the Chiefs to their third Super Bowl victory since Patrick signed with the team in 2018.
“It means the world of justice – the entire family of the Kansas City and Chiefs kingdom is special,” Patrick said after the game, as Brittany and their two children stood next to the NFL icon while he stated. “Brittany is a wonderful wife with two wonderful children. I couldn’t ask for anything better. We are Super Bowl champions.”
Patrick and Brittany, high school sweethearts, tied the knot in Hawaii in March 2022 with Sterling by their side. The longtime couple welcomed son Bronze later that year.
Although the children may eventually choose to follow in their parents’ athletic footsteps — in addition to Patrick’s stellar NFL career, Brittany played soccer for many years — Patrick wants his daughter and son to forge a path their own.
“I’m going to help teach my son, my daughter all the fundamentals and anything they want to learn. But at the same time, I want to talk about them,” he shared on the Football in America podcast in September. October 2022.
Patrick continued: “That’s what my dad did growing up; That’s what my parents did.” (His father, Patrick Mahomes Sr., played for multiple teams in the MLB for 11 years.) “They let me go out there and have fun, they didn’t pressure me to do anything. I think that’s why I’m where I am today.”
