During his latest family visit on March 26, Cristiano Ronaldo was seen driving an expensive Ferrari Daytona SP3 and stopped at the Four Season Hotel. Thus, this will be the next car model added by the Portuguese super player to his car collection worth more than 18 million pounds.
The Daytona SP3 chosen by Ronaldo is part of Ferrari’s Icona collection, alongside two other hypercar models, the Monza SP1 and SP2, with prices starting at 2.3 million USD. This hypercar was designed to honor Ferrari’s 1-2-3 victory in the 24 Hours of Daytona race in 1967. The car was introduced to users at the end of 2021 but has only just been delivered to top customers. first by the end of 2023.
Ferrari Daytona SP3 is equipped with a V12 engine, 6.5L naturally aspirated capacity, codenamed F140HC, developed based on the engine of the 812 Competizione model. Although not integrated with a hybrid system like LaFerrari, this engine block still produces up to 829 horsepower and 697 Nm of torque.
Power is transmitted to the rear wheels through an F1 7-speed dual-clutch transmission with faster gearshift times thanks to the support of a limited-slip differential. Thanks to that, the Daytona SP3 is capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 2.85 seconds and from 0-200 km/h in 7.4 seconds, before reaching a maximum speed of 340 km/h.
Similar to other models in the Icona group, the Daytona SP3 is limited to only 599 units globally. Of these, 499 cars are given priority to the group of customers who own SP1 and SP2, the remaining 100 customers must pass the “application filtering” round from Ferrari.
