Bali Paws rescue workers have saved many abused animals, and seeing the adorable canines thrive in their new forever homes makes all their efforts worth it.

One day, one of his team members discovered a hairless puppy. She had been abandoned and was hiding in a doghouse in front of a property. Despite his experience, his rescuers were baffled by his condition.

The girl was suffering from a severe case of scabies that had left her bald and in pain. He also suffered from an infection in one of his eyes.

Desi, a rescuer, claimed that the poor girl had spent her entire life in a cage while being used for reproduction. Her captors abandoned her on the street once “she was no longer pretty or healthy.”

Desi, on the other hand, was able to lure her out of hiding and immediately began lavishing her with all the love and attention she desired.

“She was super calm the moment I grabbed her,” Desi explained. “I think she knew I wouldn’t hurt her.”

They named the dog Lucy Ray and, once her physical problems were resolved, her true personality came to light! Her rescuers described her as “extremely sweet” and “always wanted to hug her.”

He became healthier and gained weight over the next seven weeks. He also met other dogs, learned to walk on grass, and experienced a loving home for the first time.

This was all good preparation, as Bali Paws quickly found him a beautiful forever home in Centreville, Virginia, on the other side of the world!

The moment Matt and Brianna saw the images of Lucy Ray and heard her story, they knew she had to be in their lives. They were head over heels in love as soon as the little dog arrived!

“We were both madly in love with her,” Brianna explained. “She was so adorable and we felt like she just joined our hearts right away and pretended to be ours.”

Lucy Ray is now one of the most pampered dogs in the world! According to her Instagram, she “went from the streets of Bali to silky sheets” and couldn’t be happier!

“She definitely shows us how much she loves and appreciates us, and we reciprocate because we love her more than anything,” Matt said.

Brianna stated that they are constantly amazed by their pet’s ability to forgive and overcome his traumatic beginnings in life. “I think it’s miraculous that she’s so sweet and loving and trusting of us after everything she’s been through.”
