LeBron James Not Needed as Austin Reaves Leads Lakers to Comeback Victory Against Bucks in 2OT

The Milwaukee Bucks created a double-digit gap midway through the fourth quarter, but ultimately lost to a Los Angeles Lakers without LeBron James.

Reaves had his second career triple-double and made a key 3-pointer himself to seal the victory with just 38.6 seconds left in the second overtime period, helping the Lakers win 128-124 .

Reaves had 29 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists in 47 minutes, helping the Yellow-Purple team achieve their fourth consecutive victory, despite the visitors not leading once in regular time. Anthony Davis was not far behind with 34 points and 23 rebounds in 52 minutes, despite having knee problems late in the game.

“You can give up and look to the next day’s match, or you can go out and play with 110% energy and give yourself a chance, or at least try to give yourself a chance to “come back” , Reaves shared after the match.

LeBron James had a problem with his left ankle and could not play in the 6-match away series. James also missed the Lakers’ 123-122 win over the Bucks on March 8.

Darvin Ham and his team can still find a way to beat Milwaukee again. D’Angelo Russell had 29 points, 12 assists and 7 rebounds for the Lakers. Rui Hachimura added 16 points and 14 rebounds.

Milwaukee appeared to be in control for most of the game. But after Lillard’s shot to increase the score to 94-75 for the Bucks – the largest gap since the beginning of the match – the Lakers increased the score to 26-7 in the remainder of the fourth quarter to force the match into overtime. .

The two sides struggled in the first extra period, and Anthony Davis’s block on Damian Lillard extended the match by 5 minutes. The fatigue of both teams was shown in the first 3 minutes of OT2, when no points were scored. The Bucks led for most of the remaining time, until Austin Reaves reversed the situation.

The Lakers will not have much time to celebrate their impressive comeback. They will be guests of the Memphis Grizzlies in just 24 hours.
