In his first interview since being presented as a madridista, Vinicius Jr. spoke to Realmadrid TV and Realmadrid.com about his hopes for this new step in his career with the Whites: “Since I got here I’ve felt something unique, like I’m going to be very happy, and not just me, but all my teammates and my family. Everyone’s asking about the experience of coming here, I always tell them there’s nothing better than being at the best team in the world”.

1. How are you feeling at this very special point in your life?I’m happy, I feel fulfilled, proud and very pleased to be here in Madrid, at the best team in the world. I have no doubt at all I’ll be very happy here.  Since I got here I’ve felt something unique, like I’m going to be very happy, and not just me, but all my teammates and my family as well.
2. Your style is rather eye-catching, with lots of impressive dribbles. How would you describe yourself?I play a joyful and daring brand of football, born of the Brazilian style, lots of dribbling with the ball, but with respect for the opposition and the constant intent to get near the goal and score a lot, while always helping my team.
3. How would you assess the last few days, and what really stands out for you so far?The training sessions are always fantastic, similar to Brazilian football, but they move the ball so quickly here. I’m slowly getting to grips with how they train and I’m feeling more and more settled with my teammates. I’m always very happy, I’m more thrilled every day to be pulling on the Real Madrid shirt.

5. What have you told your family and friends about what you’re experiencing?Everyone back in Brazil is thrilled for me, my family as well. They all want to know what it’s like to be here. I always tell them there’s nothing better than being at the best team in the world, playing alongside the best. I’m settling in very quickly, except when people talk very fast. I’m going to be very happy in this wonderful team.
6. What advice has Marcelo given you about succeeding at Real Madrid?Marcelo has always said that I’m going to love playing here. He says I’ll want to stay here for many years and that I’ll never want to leave Real Madrid, the amazing team they have here, and he’s told me he’s there to help me with anything I need. In terms of trophies, if I win half of what Marcelo has managed, I’ll be very happy indeed.
7. How would you like your future to look at Real Madrid?I’m imagining a wonderful year which sees the madridistas celebrating lots of titles with me and the team. I always want to win more titles and, above all, get my hands on more Champions League trophies for Real Madrid.
8. A message to the fans…I’m very happy, thrilled to be pulling on the shirt of the best team in the world and I’d like to tell them we’re all going to be very happy and we’re going to win lots of titles for this shirt. A huge hug for everyone, Hala Madrid!.
