Ozimar Queiroz and Lindomar Queiroz were astonished when they arrived early to work at the tire repair shop located on Estrada do Belmont in the North Zone of Porto Velho in mid-February. This is due to the fact that there was a stray dog on the side of the road. The docile creature was small, had open paws, and was unable to walk. Ozimar, also known as Galego, was moved by the dog’s plight and agreed to care for him until he could find him a permanent home. However, 20 days have passed and the dog still lacks a permanent home.
“They threw him out in front of the store. The morning we arrived, he was present. We felt terrible for him, so we brought him here and are feeding him, but he is in a dire situation over there. Since his two front legs are facing backwards, he cannot walk,” he explains.
Due to its position on the board, the dog was affectionately named Seal because it cannot move because both of its paws are open.
The tire repairmen move him several times throughout the day, but the dog ultimately drags himself through the mud to connect with the only other animal available, a stray cat that wanders the tire shop.
Lindomar Queiroz disclosed to G1 that the dog is submissive and requires veterinary care, but he cannot afford it.
“We gave him the name seal because of his appearance. He was quite underweight when we captured him, but he’s already gaining weight now that we’re feeding him. Lindomar states, “He’s covered in mud from the rain, but we don’t care here.”
